Murray — KURU Footwear has been recognized in Newsweek’s Fastest Growing Online Shops report. The list was released last week and classified kurufootwear.com as an “extremely high” growth company in the category of Fashion Accessories – Shoes with the likes of well-known footwear brands including New Balance and Vans.
Founded in 2009 by CEO Bret Rasmussen, KURU Footwear is a 100 percent direct-to-consumer company on a mission to eliminate foot pain. KURU’s niche is “stylish shoes for foot pain” creating and selling orthopedic shoes that don’t look orthopedic. The secret sauce is our patented KURUSOLE, which provides superior arch support and enhances the natural cushioning of the user’s heel.
To compile the annual ranking, Newsweek partners with respected global data firm Statista to determine which 1,000 shops across 37 categories are the fastest growing online shops. The companies that make the list must surpass 1 million annual website visits in the US; $1 million in revenue in the US; and have 50 percent or more traffic and sales in the US market. KURU was classified as an “extremely high growth” company based on total sales, traffic, and a quality assurance evaluation of the website.
KURU Footwear CEO, Bret Rasmussen says “This is a great honor to be recognized, among other leaders within our industry, for the world-class customer experience our team provides. We attribute our growth to creating a truly exceptional product that has helped millions of people relieve their foot pain.” in addition, he says “Our KURU GURUs excel at delighting our customers, while our e-commerce team is constantly optimizing our online store to make the buying process as seamless as possible.”
